Meadow Creek Church Statement of Faith (click here)
Vision
Statement: "To discover the Jr./Sr. High student's spiritual
needs and guide them to further growth in their spiritual walk.
Teaching them to model Christ and honor God with their lives."
|
Objectives:
|
|
Provide
students with the tools to grow in a personal relationship and
quiet time with God. |
|
|
Provide
students the opportunity to build community with each other. |
|
|
Provide
students with opportunity to serve and reach out to others. |
Partners:
|
|
Parents:
Our
desire to involve, inform and instruct the parents of the youth
when possible. This is accomplished through announcements, meetings
and workshops. |
|
|
Volunteer
Leaders: The
only way to be an effective leader is to be spiritually filled
and led. Out of a love for God and for each other, we can expect
great things. Each leader will: 1) Be "spiritually"
accountable weekly; 2) Attend monthly meetings; 3) Own part of
the ministry by serving in a desired role(s); 4) Be responsible
for set goal; 5) Be supported by the youth director. |
| |
| |
The
bottom line is, we need to love God and love each other (Mt22:36-40)
in order to be successful in leading students. |
Activities:

Sunday
Mornings:
Our
purpose on Sunday mornings is to train our students with sound
Biblical teaching. We teach them truth, and most importantly,
how to apply it to everyday life. If we can show that our faith
isn't just one aspect of our lives, but is really the basis
of our life - we've accomplished a great goal!

Wednesday
Evenings:
Our desire is to have a quality Worship Service that appeals
to students of all ages. The desired outcome is to lead students
closer to God through His Word, praising Him, and trhough th
testimonies of others.
The Student Service consists of praise & worship, drama,
teaching and small group interaction. Wednesday evenings are
very casual and relaxed. Our hope is that students are edified
and equipped to do the work of the minstry. We meet in the Chapel
at 7:00 PM. This is for all ages...Jr. High through College.

Small
Groups:
As
needed, we have small groups that will provide accountability,
training, teaching, tools and other purposes.
|
|
|
Special
Events:
We
have many special events that we use to supplement what we are
trying to accomplish. We use trips, conferences, camps and other
activities to encourage our students in a variety of different
ways. Our intent is to build community and bridges with each
other. These occur on a weekly to bi-monthly basis.
